Making money online can be a bit hard for some people. One business model that might be of interest to a lot of people is MLM. You’ve probably encountered one or two of these in your life. If you have, there is a good chance you’ve heard of Perfectly Posh.

Perfectly Posh is a cosmetic company, which uses Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) to promote their products. But, the first question you should ask yourself before joining is,” Is Perfectly Posh a Pyramid Scheme?”

A good chunk of people are hesitant to join MLM, so what would differentiate Perfectly Posh from other (allegedly) pyramid schemes? Find out below in our review of Perfectly Posh.

What is Perfectly Posh?

  • Name: Perfectly Posh
  • Website: perfectlyposh.com
  • Founder: Ann Dalton
  • Cost: $35
  • Rating: 7/10

Perfectly Posh is a company created by Ann Dalton, endorsing a concept that women deserve to pamper themselves for all their hard work. Hence, this company created products that are aimed for women, specifically cosmetics and beauty products. Moreover, they are also giving women the opportunity to create an online business through an MLM business model.

Cosmetic and skincare MLM companies have existed for a long time and have been some of the most common in the industry. Perfectly Posh, however, operates things in a different way compared to these other companies. Unlike other companies’ products that may appear outdated, Perfectly Posh keeps up with the ongoing trend so their products are legitimately appealing to potential customers.

What Does Perfectly Posh Have to Offer

As stated above, they sell a variety of products geared towards women with an undertone of empowerment. One of their claims is that their products are made from natural ingredients and that they’re cruelty-free meaning that they use animal by-products such as milk, honey, and beeswax. The products are also beautifully packaged. As with any other natural product, it might take longer to show results, so patience is required.

In regards to the business side of things, one might be wary because the products that they sold are generally more expensive than others. However, it did receive good reviews from customers, particularly the products that they sell over on Amazon.

How Much Does It Cost to Join Perfectly Posh?

A dedicated “Opportunity” tab can be found on their website homepage, in which you can apply to join. You are then asked to purchase a starter kit for $35, and by then you can now start recruiting people.

The kit itself contains several of their best-selling products, ranging from body butter to hand cream and other beauty products. You also get training materials and access to their Prep Academy, which is also filled with training and marketing materials.

The package includes a structured training program for the first 30 days, and upon completion of each course, you get a point that you can redeem for a free product.

How Do You Make Money with Perfectly Posh?

So, you have purchased the kit, got some potential customers or recruits, and learned all of the materials. When you first join, you will be at rank 1 (protégé), which means you earn 20% in commissions, and as you rank up you will receive at most 31% for “Platinum Premier” consultants.

However, this is an MLM company after all so you’ll want to earn more income by recruiting people to your downline, which you can earn a portion of every sale they made.

Earning a downline commission is only possible if you’re already a “Pink Plus 1“ consultant, which requires you to sell $500 worth of products, sell a total of $2,000 worth of products between you and your team, and also have 1 qualified front line consultant.

In theory, you will earn 25% personal commissions each week, 1-6% bonus each month, and another 1-6% from everyone in your downline. Of course, these are dependent on what rank you are currently in.

If you could create a huge network of downlines, you could, in theory, earn thousands of dollars of passive income every month. However, this is not as easy as it sounds. For one, selling $500 worth of product every month is a challenge in itself. Moreover, a good chunk of your income is determined by the ability of the people you’ve recruited to also sell thousands of dollars’ worth of product every single month.

The demand of the product is not exactly that high, and the more people you recruit the harder it is for you to actually sell the products. It is a double-edged sword, sort of. With that said, a lot of people are reportedly successful by becoming one of Perfectly Posh’s consultants.

Managerial skill, marketing skill, social skill, and a network of associates are obligatory if you are considering to be a part of this business. If you’re not this type of person, it is impossible to make a living off this business, or even sustain the business for a period of time. Therefore, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

Tired of MLM? Here’s a better opportunity

Things I Like About Perfectly Posh

There are several reasons why Perfectly Posh is a good skincare MLM company.

1. Their products are trendy and up-to-date

While most MLM companies solely focus on the downline part, the products that Perfectly Posh are legitimate products that a good amount of people enjoy using. They also sell a huge variety of beauty products, so you do have a lot of options and a lot to offer to potential customers.

2. Ingredients are natural and cruelty free

Their products use all-natural ingredients and cruelty-free animal byproducts such as milk, honey, and beeswax. On top of that, the ingredients are made locally in the US, not imported from another country. They are promoting an eco-friendly practice, and in my eyes that’s a plus.

3. Promotes women empowerment

This might seem insignificant, but in the modern era where a lot of women are still discriminated, and misogyny still exist in many places, a company that promotes women empowerment as their center ideology is a breath of fresh air, and they actually deliver by offering good products and providing a career opportunity for a lot of women.

4. Joining their program is relatively cheap

With less than $100, you already received a product kit, as well as training materials. So it is fairly affordable and requires little cost to start a business of your own. However, it is worth noting that one might require exquisite managerial and marketing capability before doing so.

What I Don’t Like About Perfectly Posh

Here are a few reasons why Perfectly Posh isn’t worth your time.

1. The products are too expensive

While it is true that the products are made from natural ingredients, selling the products itself can be a bit of a challenge. What they are selling is pricier than most of the competition. That’s not to say that it is beyond affordable but cheaper options are available.

2. Joining is cheap, being successful is hard

As mentioned earlier, it is cheap to start with Perfectly Posh, but you need to reach a certain target to turn a profit while recruiting downlines to boost your income.

This can be challenging due to the point above (expensive pricing), so in order to turn this into a viable source of income, you would need exquisite managerial and marketing skills and a huge network of associates. It might be better off investing your time in another business opportunity.

3. Leadership not aligned with company’s vision

Some of the affiliates at Perfectly Posh have claimed that the company’s training materials don’t really prepare them for what comes up next after joining. Even though a lot of what you need to do is self-taught, the basics provided by the booklets and videos are inadequate, which doesn’t exactly align with the whole women empowerment thing image that they’re trying to pull off.

Verdict: Perfectly Posh is not a scam

Perfectly Posh is a legitimate company, sells legitimate products, and offers legitimate business opportunities for people interested. Perfectly Posh has existed since 2011, and has turned over $100 Million in revenue as of 2017. They also have over 45,000 distributors, and some have reported being successful in being one of the distributors.

That said, if you’re interested in this company, you’re probably better off using their product instead of trying to resell them. They’re by no means scamming people, but as we have gone through several times before, it would require a huge network of associates as well as a certain skill set before you can turn a profit by joining Perfectly Posh.

Perfectly Posh is not a scam, but a legit MLM business. The same goes for companies like Everra and Zijia International.

However, if you’re not one of those go-getters, strong recruiters, never-take-no-for-an-answer type of person, that’s entirely OK.

Not everyone is cut out to recruit, recruit, recruit. This is why we wholeheartedly recommend that you try your hand at affiliate marketing.

If You’re Not A Fan Of MLM Recruitment

I was in an MLM organization in my teen and recruitment is tough once you’ve exhausted family members and close friends.

So, MLM was never my cup of tea as I prefer marketing the products rather than convincing new recruits to join the team.

Also, the earning in an MLM organization is pretty limited. According to a report published by FTC, 99% of MLM members would eventually suffer losses.

These reasons are why I’m opting for the affiliate marketing model. I don’t need to deal with the customer, recruitment or limited to a particular niche. I’ll never have to stock up with products that I couldn’t use.

If you’re facing the same predicament, and would like a more flexible model than MLM, I’ll suggest checking out this program.

It kickstarted my journey as an affiliate marketer years ago and I’ve never looked back since.
